You must also opt out of these services individually in your metadata. An updated spreadsheet will be provided to coincide with the launch. If you have retailer restrictions in your contract and would like to expand, please let us know as well.
If you do not respond by the above deadline and do not have a contract that limits distribution, we will automatically begin sending your content to bookshout! and Ingram when we officially launch later this month.
Retailer Information:
Zola Books’ mission is to provide best-in-class technology to authors, publishers, booksellers, and others looking to create direct relationships with readers through their primary model/feature, the ecommerce widget The Everywhere Store, which is free to use.
Payout comes when a bookseller/blogger/etc includes one of your titles in their widget and their customer buys the book. The publisher is paid 50% minus IPG's rev share. If the sale comes through the widget placed on the publisher website, an additional payment of 50% of Zola's 50% is made directly to the publisher.
Example: A book is sold from the widget at $10. Zola pays IPG $5, who passes on what's left after rev share. Of Zola's $5, Zola keeps $2.50, and directly pays the publisher $2.50.
