Inventory:

Before shipping inventory to IPG, you must speak to IPG Supply Chain, supplychain@ipgbook.com . The Supply Chain team will issue a stock request and ask you to confirm quantities and estimated delivery dates.

In order for your book to appear in stock in retail and online vendors in time for your announced pub date, IPG requires that books arrive at our distribution center one full month prior to the publication date. This gives IPG the necessary time to get the books into our system and ship out the backorders in time for our accounts to receive the stock into their systems and show availability. If the stock arrives earlier, it will ship starting no earlier 45 days before the pub date.

All books must have a Bookland EAN barcode that includes the U.S. price and ISBN. Books should be shipped in cartons that are marked with title, ISBN, carton quantity and carton weight in both readable and barcode formats (see image to the right). Contact your liaison for Book Industry Study Group (BISG) product labeling guidelines or find them at www.bisg.org.

Shipments must be accompanied by a packing slip that indicates the quantity by title, the number of cartons on each pallet, and the number of pallets. The packing slip should be attached securely to the pallet or inside an accessible carton marked “packing slip enclosed.” Shipments of more than 10 cartons or 300 pounds must be palletized and shipped by truck to avoid the rough handling and the resulting damage common to large shipments of loose cartons. Shipping charges are the responsibility of the publisher--no collect shipments can be accepted.

If you would like IPG to provide a shipping quote, please email pickup address, number of pallets, and weight to routing@ipgbook.com.
